Our Bookstore is a poster that is also a map—the emotional map of a bookstore. It employs the typological characteristics of its original format (A0 size, single-color printing, folding, informational box) but does not indicate the spatial or technical details of a bookstore; instead, it represents the desires of those wandering among books, gleaning ideas and inventing stories. The original drawing by Carlos Maiques, created at a 1:1 scale of the map, is a universe of intertwined, coexisting, and always surprising little stories. The text is a whisper from Roger & Helen Mifflin, the couple who began their journey aboard a traveling bookstore and settled in Brooklyn in another enchanted one. This publication is a tribute to books, bookstores, publishers, and booksellers. And also to readers of all ages, from 0 to 120 years old.
